Vacancy at Newall Green Primary School
Temporary Deputy Head post to cover a 1-year maternity leave (2 positions) starting January 2024 or sooner if possible. The salary is L9 on the Leadership Scale.
An opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and skilled professional to join our unique and exceptional school team within NGPS.
This role is crucial within the building of a strong, dynamic leadership team within school.
The successful candidate will play a central role in this next stage of our journey.
You will:
Take an active role in developing practices within school, using research and experience as a basis for decision making and being able to train and support a team through the development of new practices.
Support the Executive Head teacher in the decision making for the effective running of the school and the development of the individuals within the challenging context of school.
Deputise for the Exec Head when needed at Trust level or with the day-to day smooth running of the School.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Significant relevant teaching experience, a good honours degree and QTS & NPQ qualification.
Experience of school leadership and leading change, and a reflective approach so that change is planned, well managed and stake holders buy into the developments.
An excellent communicator, being approachable whilst also being able to articulate a vision.
Have a friendly, calm approach with the experience to support the Phase Leaders of the Hive & Acorn provisions.
A strong understanding of teaching, learning and assessment so that solutions to problems are generated and a balanced forward moving approach is taken.
